But even among those who kept a more open mind about Jones, there was a popular sentiment that if the Giants were truly infatuated with Duke's quarterback, they could easily get him with the No. 17-overall pick - After all, he'd still be there by then. And surely, he'd be at least the third quarterback taken after Murray and Haskins.
