Does anybody expect anything else from people still drunk on failed supply-side economic theory? There is no longer anything resembling a free market in America. Huge, highly-profitable corporations, Wall Street banks, and wealthy individuals/families are subsidized in numerous ways, including payings little to no federal taxes, while average Americans are left to twist in the economic winds. The Bush Crash and Great Recession should have driven that message home. If that wasn't enough, the Trump Administration tax giveaways and subsequent loose PPP loan programs that allowed these same corporations and wealthy individuals to get their fingers on money that should have gone to small businesses and people in actual need.
You do realize that the top 1% of earners pay 40% of America's taxes despite only earning 28% of dollars.
I'll agree with you about corporations, but the individual earners pay more than their share.

The rich don't work. They make their money from investments, where they pay 15% tops. The amount of percent in taxes they pay is of no consequence, given they now own more wealth than the rest of the population combined. It's like saying you pay 1000 times as much in taxes as I do, when you have 1000000000 times as much wealth. It's a CHILD'S argument, doofus.

Investment and important financial decisions are more consequential and exhausting to me than working my schedule. Performing the task I am paid for under the agreed upon terms is probably the least stressful part of my life other than sleep. Those 1%ers you resent so much are reaping the rewards of successful investment. Taxing that is a disincentive to taking that risk so long term the value won't be redistributed because it won't be created.
