BTW For the record I would love it if someone on this Message board could tell me the person whether a scout/talent evaluator/Cashman/Coach/Manager, Analytic Guru, or any combination thereof, that made the decision to pick Greg Allen to send down after Gardner was signed to a contract for 2021. I would appreciate knowing who you think was responsible for that major miscalculation. It has me baffled.

Who knew what effect he would have? He was signed for a role/injury replacement, which is exactly what he has done. I like the energy the recent call-ups have brought, and the style mix of speed and power. Now if the bullpen could step up to mediocre...

Gardner was signed for that exact thing AFTER they had Allen. So, I just think they had what they mneeded. Of course Neither I or anyone else knew what Allen was capable of, or what effect he would have, but people get paid to know that stuff and they already work in that capacity for the Yankees. Just curious who keeps making these judgements that we find out later were not at all on target. Why gardner again over a 28 year old that had more speed, and more projected development and could go up(like he is) where as Gardner was already headed in a downward trend. I am with you on what these call-ups are bringing to this team. It is just what we needed at just the right time. I like Florial and hope he makes it. Dude looks like a Baseball player and can fly in centerfield!
