to me, gallo makes voit expendable if only because it overloads us with HR, swing & miss guys - as if we didn't have enough already. would trade voit for either a contact hitting CF'er or some pitching. maybe even a SS and let the IF game of musical chairs begin. see no reason to have 5 HR or nothing guys in the lineup. gallo's advantage over voit is that he's LH.

Gallo replaces Frazier and to a lesser extent, Gardner

Odor is replacing Voit, in effect, and he's also a HR/K hitter, although at a lower BAVG and BB rate, and his doesn't K or HR quite as often.

Odor looks like he's a little clutch.

Another plus for Odor is he isn't afraid to bunt. He actually looks like he can bunt and has tried to bunt to get on base when we needed base runners. Very unselfish player.  I Definately did a turn around on him from when he first got here.

Same here, wasn't a fan at first, but he brought me around.  He also brings some energy to the dugout.

I wasn't his biggest fan at first but he's won me over as well... I like what he brings to the game, he hit's for power, he plays pretty good defense and he's not afraid to lay down a bunt... He's kind of a sparkplug in the dugout as well....

Huge difference in "not being a fan" and trashing the guy; calling him a "lawn dwarf".

That's how Jpep rolls... I'm surprised he doesn't get hurt jumping off and on the bandwagon.

Rizzo's family are all from the NY area, he might decide to stay if Hal and Ca$hman make an attempt to resign him... I'm betting the Luxury tax will be raised next year and that could make a difference... He's only played one game, but he could grow on a lot of Yankee fans...

I read his wife's family is also from the area, CT.  Could be a factor, but he turns 32 next month.  Would he sign for 2 years?  3 years?  That Voit is still a Yankee could mean simply that no one wanted him.  Could also mean he is Alternate Plan B if they do not re-sign Rizzo.

Good start for Rizzo last night..Hope he tears it up and gets a 3 or 4 year deal with the Yankees.

Voit can't be counted on with his subpar defense and injury conerns.

If Voit gets back one way they can get him some at bats to see what he can so is let Stanton play LF. TThat would open up the DH spot and give Voit some AB's to see if he can get going. That way if he does Stanton, Voit, Gallo, and Rizzo can all be in the line up at once and that, if they all are clicking at once, would be a sort of "murderer's row" . As unlikely as it seems that will happen it is a way, while Voit is still here to see if he can still hit like when he was "good" Luke Voit. Stanton doesn't look that bad in LF. Now he needs to feed off Rizzo and Gallo and that could happen.

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

I knew I would forget  to mention someone. It was in my head  and didn't all get in the post. Judge in Center, Stanton in Left, and Gallo in RF with Rizzo on first  and Voit DHing I mean all of them in the lineup at once would dangerous  lol.. It actually could happen just not for to many games in a row and if one of them did get hurt we have other options to replace them. Talk about versatile now. Judge Stanton Gallo Rizzo Voit Good luck facing those guys and I would bat them all in a row in the line up with DJ Leading off.

DJ 2nd

Judge RF

Rizzo 1st

Stanton LF

Gallo RF

Voit DH

Torres SS

Urshela 3rd

Sanchez C

Are you kidding me? Yikes!.... looks good to me.

I thought you hated Judge in the two hole?? I'd put Rizzo 2, Judge 3, Gallo 4 and Stanton 5 giving them a r,l, r,l,r the first five batters.

I do LDY. Always have and always will..but I know that putting to many hypothetical suggestions in one post is just day dreaming and the Yankees are just insistent on him being there so why fight city hall. I like and agree with your suggested line up and they should absolutely try it while Rizzo and Luke are here together. I really believe deep down Cashman like Voit and is hesitant to let him go and he may have been asking more than others wanted to give in offering him up, because it is obvious he did that. Even if it is every other day, or every 2 days, they should try all of them in the game together. Only wish I could get Odor in their now as good as he has been but to try Voit he has to sit if figure.

Don't kill me for this but I would rather sit Torres than Odor but that won't happen and putting DJ at third and Urshela at SS weakens the defense because 3rd is DJ's worst defensive position I think. It is fun to think of different things they can do though to crank up this offense to a dangerous threat to any team right now IMO if they all click together, that's the other thing. It could turn into the keystone cops of strikeouts also. lol..Worth a shot though, no?
