Kessler Edwards Draft Notes
Edwards is a multi-talented forward who projects as a floor-spacing, 3&D wing. His perimeter shot will get him a long look from NBA teams and he’s got the requisite size and agility to make it at the NBA level.
He’s got a nice quick release on his jumper and has been a consistent shooter over the years.
Edwards has quick hands and feet on defense and can guard a few positions. He can switch off on guards as needed and can even hold his own in the paint and guard some bigs.

Projected Draft Range: 2nd Round
Pros:
Excels at scoring on off-ball motion plays
Decent low post scorer
Decent scorer off the dribble
Decent playmaker
Good defender
Adept at collecting steals
Solid athlete
Good motor
Cons:
Needs to improve his shooting

Unselfish to a fault
Not an elite rebounder
Can be unfocused defensively, is foul prone
Can be too inconsistent in games
Summary:
RaiQuan Gray is an athletic, high-motor combination forward that may project to be a defensive specialist at the next level. He has played well against high-level competition, as he’s had 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists in a win over Indiana, and he also scored 17 points in a win over Louisville.
On the other hand, he can be quite inconsistent, as he’s also had his fair share of woeful shooting nights in which he only scored in single digits this season. Gray was a solid role player on a very good Florida State team this season. He’ll need to improve his outside shot and be a more consistent performer in games, but his athleticism, motor, and playmaking potential could make him an intriguing option for NBA teams in the second round range of the 2021 draft.
