I have to say the Marlins overall, are the worst team I have seen in years in all of major league baseball. Colorado, Arizona, Pittsburg, Baltimore and Texas and the Twinkies all should take solace in the fact they are not the Marlins. Thank you Mr. Rizzo for a Fantastic opening act!

Now to the Bronx with a couple of new toys for Boone to play with. Tony Rizzo needs a contract now Cashman before he changes his mind as he has said he would like to stay with the Yankees. Get out your finest pen and ink the deal!

Gallo will start to help now and his past proves he can do just that. I will say whatever that pre hitting jitterbug he does in the box before he gets set, and the helmet adjustment and final sway back and forth that he does is the most entertaining routine by any hitter anywhere. The man has a whole new dance routine depending on what he chooses for his walk up song and I can't wait to hear what it is..

I think the guys are jacked up more than they have been all season and this home stand could be what they need at the right time including with all the new pieces, let's rock! We got a shot at the wild card so Oakland beware!

As good as this 3 game sweeps feels like you said the Marlins are terrible and we were gifted this 3rd game.  I suppose with all the gifted wins we've been giving away this year we deserved a gift of our own.

You are right the Marlins are not a very good team but they have a very good pitching staff, if you pay any attention to the game of baseball, good pitching will keep you in a lot of games... Poor defense will lose you a lot of games, we took advantage of their weakness, we got hits when it counted, they have a couple of really good pitchers to build that team around...

It's 3 games for Rizzo... as soon as he goes into a 3 game slump you'll be calling for Cashmans head...again. Sounds like Gallo will be on your next hit list!

Espn sportscasters repeatedly say Yankees stole Rizzo from Red Sox. How do they figure that? He has to be in your team before he can be stolen.

Silly me, here I thought Yankees got him from a trade with Cubs. By the way, Red Sox had equal opportunity to trade for him.

After they see him raking in pinstripes,  it's sour grapes.

Absolutely right. One thing I have noticed lately is that the media talking heads on some sports shows, and reporters and the usual sports raidio show began ignoring the Yankees and have this year become more anti Yankee with things than usual. ESPN out of all of the media reporting baseball is pro Red Sox and Anti Yankee worse than any of them. Then there is Cris Russo from MLB Netwok he is the next hater in line. We do have media fans like Mark De Rosa of MLB Network and even Lauren Shehadi his side kick on MLB Central their morning show. But mostly it is a bit more haters on us "stealingRizzo." Tough let them hate while we hopefully get Rizzo to sign on a contract when the season ends. So far he is lit up. His past record shows what he is capable of so I'm all in on him like many Yankee fans.

Just curious.  Rizzo will be 32 next week.  How many years would you go to sign him?

Probably 4 with an option year for 5. That would most likely be a struggle because he would want more I would guess. What did they give DJ I forgot. Was it 7? Always easy for us to spend Hal's money though, right?

The Yankees gave DJLM too many years (6), because they wanted to keep the AAV of the contract down, to stay under the CBT cap.

Rizzo has been terrific, but it is 3 games. He turns 32 in a few days, so 4 or 5 years takes him into his turning age 36 or 37 seasons. If the money is reasonable, Yanks may do it, but I'd think 3 years, with a team option on a 4th, is more likely if they want him.
