Velazquez is a double of Wade, but he's a switch hitter and has a better arm for SS... I was never that high on Wade but he's having a much better year than he's ever had and maybe because of the playing time he's gotten has become a better hitter ?? Torres has no doubt had an off year, but he's been hurt, he's had Covid, no one really knows how this Covid thing effects players ?? I know it can really zap one's physical being, friends that have had it have been weak for a month or longer... I know they're not Pro Athletes, but it can affect everyone differently...

There's no doubt Velazquez will play someplace someday, but I think Torres is our SS for this year and maybe next as well...

You are right about Velazquez, he will play somewhere. Wade also has gotten better with playing time and basically I think for Velazquez to stay here it will be him or Wade and it's one of the many tough choices Cashman will have, or Hal because Cashman being here IMO has increades to about an 85% chance he won't be let go or pushed upstairs. I don't think anyone in the F O is going to forget how this team played up until the trade deadline or just a week or so before it.

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

No doubt Velazquez has become a fan favorite, but Wade can play more positions and has the experience...I wonder if Velazquez will be our SS of the future or a trade chip down the road ?? I've heard there's a SS down in A or AA ball that's supposed to be our future SS ??
