It's OK. There have been a bunch of posters you stuck up for after  vicious arguments. Let's not make more of my post then it was. I haven't asked any of you to stick up for him or even ever respond to him.

You're absolutely right ... we've disagreed in the past ... just think that after things I have seen him write on this board overall, that he doesn't deserve a pass ... will agree to disagree.

He cried on my shoulder privately and I gave him a pass ... fool me once is a saying ... I think I gave him more than one chance.

Talking about left handed hitters, we've had several this season, but I was happy with the trade at the deadline, but right now neither hitter is hitting... Rizzo had four good games, and Gallo really hasn't done much but what he was known for, striking out... But something about getting those two has changed the chemistry of this team... I think Rizzo will hit, but what seems to have really helped our team is the defense both of these players have brought... A lineup of every other hitter being right and left has made us a lot harder to pitch to..

Rizzo had covid ... I really don't believe he is fully recovered.

I've said this a hundred times... Covid takes a big hit on one's strength and wind... I have friends that have had Covid and they still have trouble playing a round of golf... So yes playing a professional game of baseball is pretty demanding and if your body is not fully recovered it's tough to play at full strength...

Seeing how it is now apparent from other sources that Covid takes a long time to recover from, and Rizzo looks like he hasn't fully recovered yet, would it make sense to leave those returning from the Covid IL soon, more time to recover than they did for Rizzo? Also since we are winning why try and improve anything by taking that chance those that return could do what Rizzo is doing or at least has done these last few games? Other than Odor a little shaky on 3rd base defense at times Velazquez is doing great at SS, and late inning Wade would be more than an adequate replacement seems to me  for Odor, and that gets Voit's bat in the lineup along with Stanton and Judge and Gallo.

Stanton in the outfield has more benefits than him as the DH right now. That's how we have been winning and Stanton has been hitting IMO.  DJ, Rizzo, Judge, Stanton, Gallo, Voit, Sanchez, Odor, Velazquez looks good to me. That's what has been winning and is a good defense also. IMO that right now is our best 9. Why rush the Covid IL players to the field if they are not 100% is the question. In the best of circumstances coming off the IL takes a while to get in a groove most times let alone if they are still a little run down.

Odor isn't going to get better at 3B unless he plays. His LH bat, and minimum salary are an asset to our team.

Could just be Rizzo is in a slump and as long as the team keeps winning and he continues to be a huge defensive upgrade no need to pull him from the lineup MO, I'm in lake George, has anyone fom the Yankees said Rizzoli is still dealing with the after effects of Covid?

That isn't what I said, I'm not THAT insane! CHL was griping about Odor, but fails to see why he is here. Not that any of us will tell him anything,LOL...

Let me say this. I don't like that it has come to this with chl/jeep whatever his handle is I think the guy really likes it here and enjoys talking Yankee baseball and I really don't want anyone that feels that way to feel as uncomfortable as I bet he does. I wish he could learn to be a bit more respectful of those that disagree with some of his more outrageous statements and his presenting himself as always being right and the Smartest guy in the room. He never seems to accept any accountability for the issues he has with so many posters here. When he gets called out when he gets nasty, he responds that's just the way he talks implying we must accept the way he talks. Almost everyone of my friends here disagreed with my position on signing DJLM but I don't remember bad feelings with any of them. CHL said anyone thinking as I did was stupid without using my name. I was smart enough to know he wa referring to me. Try and take some accountability. Try and see others opinions I don't want to see anyone that enjoys it here feel compelled to leave

I think it's time to stop giving him a pass Newinn ... I did for quite a while ... he has proven he does not deserve it.

New makes a great point. It's like dealing with my 18 year old daughter... I have to accept whatever crap she dishes out, but I have to change my ways to suit her... Not happening like that!!!  We all have to consider what others say, even some of our more outrageos posters make good points, you just have to sift through too much crap from some of them.
