Boone went defense first in Altanta. Especially with Stanton and Judge both swinging well, Boone clearly wanted his best fielding team on the field. This could make for some intersting conversations ldown the wire in September.

If Boone wanted his best fielding team, leaving Odor at third in the 9th, a position he is new at, and has not looked too good at times, wasn't it. Wade should have been put there. He also used up Gardner and Davis in PH roles earlier, preventing taking out Stanton for any defensive upgrade.

Using Gardner and Davis earlier is a product of NL basebal, pinch hitting for the pitcher. I agree, I would have used Wade at third or even switched Odor and DJ .

Boone has done a very good job helping this team overcome adversity. His moves on the whole have worked out pretty good
Have to admit I'm confused by the criticism when the team is winning as much as it has.

Anyone complaining about Boone or Cashman at this point has issues ... they are making those of us who were complaining about them months ago look like fools.

We all sometime forget it's a long season MO. The only mistake Boone and Cashman made was sitting Voit the last two WINS. Lol

My response was to the selection of first baseman between Rizzo and Voit.  I like Wade more than most on this board, but he only appeared in 6 major league games at 3rd prior to this season.

My recollection is that Wade did not get used at all, but I could be wrong. I think the defense first move in the 9th would have been to use Wade in center, return Judge to right  Gallo in left and let Stanton rest rather than replace Odor at that point in the game.

Yeah...Wade wasn't used in either Braves game. As much as I like his glove seems clear Boone has even more confidence in Velasquez at SS, and I agree. Velasquez being a switch-hitter also gives him more in-game flexibility with the lineup.

He looks very solid at SS. With all the big hitters in this lineup, we should be able to carry a defensive specialist.

Hard to believe all Cashman got for "ALL WORLD" Mike Tauchman was Peralta. Just another reason Cash should be fired

One deal does not a GM make.

We should do a search for all the posts you made calling it a bad deal and touting up Tauchman

That would be a baseball version of "War and Peace" LOL!
