Yeah, since coming back Rizzo sure looks like the same guy like he looked like when he got here. Swinging wildly at out side pitches. That's not him I don't think, because he crowds the plate and feasts on pitches inside as is his reputation. No reason to suspect he is not "right." Missing balls down the middle with swing and misses is one thing, taking them for strike 3, not him usually. So I'm sure he is just fine and it is just a "slump" and it is just a coincidence for just him. The fact that most people who had Covid still get light headed at times, and some can't smell or taste for days or weeks even after it goes away depending on how bad they had it, and at times get short of breath with exercise or exertion is just a rumor I guess.
There is absolutely no way Rizzo could have after effect symptoms, from Covid, none. I heard that on here from the Doctors and ex major league coaches that post here.. It's just a slump. I feel better already that he will start hitting right away now. Maybe the West Coast air will make him better. Now for real, and what it is worth, at best if they think he is OK he should be DHing when Stanton is in the outfield. That puts Luke and his .400 average and 13 RBI's and player of the week award winner and last years HR king on first base. I mean that sounds outrageous to those baseball wizards who are actually acting like that makes no sense at all. Laughable, and absolutely silly. Look, the sky is blue, and water's wet... no it isn't ... LMAO!
Oh my God ... you're a complete nut-case.

i've said i would have played voit but that apparently boone valued defense & the LH bat more in the NL park confident his player was able to perform. with the way they rest players around here at the slighest provocation, do you think he'd run a player out there who wasn't healthy. btw cole and monty had covid, returned and played fine. we've had nearly half the team out with it including judge, loaisiga, cortes and peralta. no problems. but rizzo - has to be ...
regarding the covid, NONE of us know. to say a player is underperforming must mean he's "sick" is unfounded. maybe he has a hangnail ... he sat out 10 games, perhaps he needs to get his timing back and yeah maybe he's not 100% but is old school and willing to play through stuff. btw after his initial hot start, he was hitting .125 in the games prior to the covid. perhaps he was already affected by it but we don't and will never know.
Well glad you think that you would have played Voit. That was my only point before I had to explain myself to the ones who thought it was a joke that I even said that. Boone valuing defense IMO was not warranted over what he did by sitting what Luke was doing over a .125 lefthanded hitter and I suspect that was not the reason at all he was sat. Maybe maybe not. But, Luke pulled a Frazier don't forget, and opened his big mouth to the media like Frazier did, and well. just a thought because realistically that move was not ligit by any stretch. I mean Luke isn't exactly playing 1st base with no glove or spikes is he? He is not Rizzo defensively but was Rizzo's defense worth playing over how hot Luke was and cold Rizzo was, and still is? Not to my mind was that a reason. It may be an excuse for the media and fans, but not a reason.
you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
