Of course, the fact he's in the field means he's healthier.

yup it's been about his health all along. some idiots here were bashing him saying he didn't care, smiling and laughing in the dugout, just happy to get his gigantic paycheck. this guy has played at a very high level, very proud and i'm sure it was eating at him that he wasn't producing. and btw, maybe the yankee training knows something after all by slowly bringing him along.

I am loving having Stanton play in the field, having him hit and allowing the DH spot to open. With all that, I'd still be happy to move him when an opportunity arose.

most would. his little run here will certainly improve his trade value if that's the direction they choose to go.

I think Stanton feels like he's more into the game when he's playing, I think that also makes him feel better at the plate... I think they should keep him playing RF, with a day off occasionally and he will add a lot to this team...

Why would they trade him now that he's finally healthy and returned to MVP form?  He's literally helping carry this offense and that's the reason why they traded for him in the first place.

yup probably our best player over the last month and if people want to know why we traded for him - here's your answer. he can carry a team. and as long as he's playing the field, it's a good thing.

not necessarily advocating but it's something they may wanna explore. with him playing the OF and gallo here, suddenly we have no CFer. do think judge can do it but not sure that's the direction they wanna go. also wtih a proposal to lower the LT, his salary becomes even more onerous, particularly on the back end when perhaps he becomes a dh again. a healthy productive stanton could probably bring a lot in return. a fleet footed, LH or switch CFer hitting at the top of the order would bring balance to this team.

It's going to be interesting to see how/if Hicks still fits into the Yankee plans next season. I suspect they give him an opportunity to win back the CF job but it's hard to imagine him playing a full season without some type of injury occurring. Florial has also played reasonably well at AAA this year and it's probably time the Yankees cut bait or fish with him. I wouldn't mind seeing him given a legit chance to be the starting CFer because he does check a lot of the boxes. As far as the LT, a lot probably depends on how this year ends but the Yankees have reset the penalty. Will that change Hal's approach to the offseason?

BTW Bumper, I would personally like to welcome you to the club of posters blocked by 59, if that is indeed what happened. We are a large group, constantly growing and you will be an esteemed member.

wow wasn't even thinking about hicks. but he's not the answer. guessing if he's stays healthy long enough, they'll try to prop him out there somehow. should be a very interesting off-season. lots of moving parts and directions they can go.

yes thanks for the welcome. tried to be patient, civil etc w him but he crossed the line. always felt he lacked any real, deep understanding of the game. snapshots. and there's a reason of why he's singularly warring against a number of posters here on a daily basis.
