they're only 3 games under .500 so they're not "terrible". they are coming off a 2-6 run where they were swept by the indians and lost 2 of 3 to the really terrible o's. but they did beat the padres saturday. also think we might see ohtani on the mound tonite, so he should be tough. minimally we have to take 2 of 3.

Sometimes the moves they make.. you just shake your head. He hasn't given up a run in his starts. I see they scratched him from his last start and want to see him coming out of the pen. Maybe he is on a pitch count but not sure why you mess with perfection.

The Angels are 3 games under .500, and 3 games over .500 at home. They do have a -64 run differential. They come into this series having lost 6 of 8 and 13 of 21. They were actually a game over .500 before losing 6 of the last 8.

Ther're not great, but they're not legitimately terrible, like the O's, the Rangers and the Diamondbacks.

The Orioles are historically bad, a team that looks like a sure 110+ game loser. Their hideous -213 RD is unreal; they must have a pitching staff of BP tossers. Yet somehow the Yankees blew 5 games out of 13 to them.

The Angels are much better than any of those cellar dwellers. They have some good bats in the lineup, but the pitching has been their weakness in recent years. Their owner should stop being cheap in improving that area.

They have a couple of real stars in Trout (whose long absence has really hurt them) and Ohtani, a solid first baseman in Walsh, and some talent comers like Adell, and maybe Marsh. They should not let that kind of talent go to waste fielding mediocre pitching.

I agree, and was also somewhat, although not very, surprised. This is the kind of stuff the Yankees have pulled in the past, too often imo. A young pitcher does well, and he becomes a ping pong ball between SWB and the Yankees.

Similar to resting hot hitters. Or taking a player like Wade, who has possibly now found his way offensively, and playing a journeyman as much as Wade.

It was more important for October for Kluber to get out there and get comfortable than for us to get the win.  It would have been nice to win a winnable game, but getting Kluber into the groove will pay dividends in the long run.

Kluber wasn't that bad, he needs to pitch, maybe he went a few pitches too long, but still 7 runs should win a ball game... It's the pitchers that came after Kluber that didn't do their jobs and again the bats still left runners on that should have been driven in... These are games we need to win...
