not saying he deserves a mention, but rizzo taking the walk in the 9th got the ball rolling. and if wade doesn't steal 2nd and force the throwing error to get to 3rd, the winning run doesn't score. after the early game fireworks, it's the little things that won the game.

I missed the beginning and the end of this game. This team has a lot of fight... due to the slow start these games mean a lot, unfortunately... more than is comfortable. Credit Boone for standing up for hid player, leading the fight his team. It means a lot to the players. Great quote from Gallo after last nights game. I can't copy on my phone... maybe mamamo can do it for me.

Is this it Lola?

“I really respect it,’’ Gallo said of the ejection. “It fires you up. You can tell he’s into the game just as much as we are.”

That's it... thanks mama!
Judgie also giving kudos to Boone and how the ejection motivated the team.

They both really appreciated Boone flipping out ... loved how Stanton put an exclamation mark on it right after Boone was ejected with the homerun.

To reiterate, it only goes to show the importance of defense that can be the difference maker. That throwing error sets up Wade in position to score. Thus why you put your best defenders manning the field.

Rizzo also swung 3-0 and popped out to 3rd when the pitcher could not throw a strike ... It was a horrible at bat for a veteran
