All is well here In NE Jersey... we we're out driving home from dinner at Japanese steak house that sits up, up,up on the mountain. We had to drive our grandson home before coming home... it was torrential rain! Very scary, grateful we all got home safely.

My basement is flooded. My pantry is flooded. A piece of ceiling fell in my living room as i have a bucket under it.. It was the bucket brigade till the 3am to remove water pouring in my pantry. My basement is ankle deep with water . Soon I have to work to remove water there. Got my boots ready for the task. Just thinking what is ahead is exhausting. At least temperature is not overbearingly hot.

My friend have over 6 feet of water in his basement and the 1st floor of his house is flooded.  My area is a mess....

My sump pump rid a great deal of water in basement over night. Some water and debris remains. Got rid of as much as I can. Have doors and windows open to dry/air it out prior to additional cleaning.

A few people drowned in my area.

I am sorry to hear about your troubles, lauren. Stay safe while you repair the damage, and do your best to get the sleep you'll need.
