sure thing. i'm certainly willing to do it, but you might be more "reliable". i have an 11am tee time tomorrow and my band is taking up 2-3 nights a week, so things are a bit crazy on my end.

I'll do my best to do it ... if you are around 15 minutes prior to game time and don't see the thread, put one up.

This is repugnant 6 innings and Yanks without a hit. I know those 13 wins happened so looooooong ago. This team looks inept at the plate. It seems Cy Young, Sandy Koufax, and Bob Gibson are pitching for Baltimore.

Have a great trip, Lauren.  Waimea Canyon and the old Russion Fort on Kauai are must sees is Pearl and the Arizona, of course on Oahu.  Years ago I turned down a job offer at the U of Hawaii because I didn't think I'd want to live on Hawaii year round, but I'd visit every year or two if I could.

This is our 5th trip to Hawaii.  We've hiked in Waimea Canyon indeed beautiful and viewed Pearl Harbor. However I don't recall the old Russian Fort. That 11.5 hrs on the plane is a backbreaker. The past week has been so stressful. I'm concern if any torrential condition pasts through and I'm not home to reduce a disaster event.

Understood...I'm usually anxious that "something" will happen while I'm away. But an hour into the trip those worries are gone...no point ruining a trip worrying about something you have no control over.

Also concerned about delta variants. Will be taking assorted mask... aiming for outdoor eateries and do some cooking.  One of the first thing to do is load up the kitchen with goodies.

Yeah...no need to take unnecessary risks. We recently returned from a California trip...all dining was done outdoors, which was very easy to do. My son was in Hawaii for 2 weeks in July, said the same was true there. Masked or not, no way I could sit on a plane for 11-1/2 hours.

Try a 22 hr flight from NYC to Beijing... I've done it...talk about back breaking....I could never find a comfortable position to sleep. It's 22 hours of misery.  How much can you read?  Better hit the sack.  Need to be up by 5AM.
