Strained rotator cuff. And the beat goes on.

Wonderful, just great. Now the Yankees have only head case Chapman and Home Run Green to close.

Going to be real tough winning anything without Loaisiga, he was the best arm in our BP.. Our starters are having trouble getting out of the fifth inning... Tallion seems to have a tired arm or something, Montgomery can't get any run support and who knows if Kluber can go past 3-4 innings ?? Chapman can't seem to find the plate and Green can't go without giving up the long ball... And who really knows if Loaisiga will even get better to even pitch this season again, strained rotator cuff isn't something that goes away over night..

And he's basically done for the season.

So much for "pulling the starters earlier". That strategy has no chance of working now without Loaisiga.

IF they make the playoffs, without Loaisiga I don't see them advancing. Britton gone, Chapman unreliable as you can be, Green with his penchant for giving up the long ball, and Peralta coming back down to earth. The continued injuries year after year is maddening. Ironically Stanton and Judge managed to stay healthy and the rest of the lineup has been a M*A*S*H unit.

Well, they have other options. Holmes' work has been excellent, maybe he can up into Loaisiga's role. Maybe.

Maybe Abreu can do Holmes' job. Maybe.

But the Yanks' have shown in the last several years that they'll overwork the bullpen in the post-season, and a big piece of that puzzle has just been lost. Definitely a huge blown to whatever chance they had of making a run through the playoffs.

They could bring up Gil and use him out of the pen.

Could use Gil as a long reliever

A rotation counting on Kluber and Taillon is probably a rotation that needs Gil.
