The season hasn't ended for me. As a lifelong dyed-in-the-wool Yankee fan, it would be great to see the Yanks continue on to a World Series win. But, I am first and foremost a fan of the game...the game of baseball. The MLB season continues, and I'll root for teams family members follow, like the ChiSox. The AZFL will take me thru November, followed by the start of Spring Training after a 2 month lull.

Yeah...it could be better but, as they say, it is what it is...and I'll take it.

Same here. Watching the post season stress free is a good thing.

True...it does take the edge off, and keep the BP from going thru the roof.

That sounds like the girl who goes to the prom with her cousin so she can enjoy the music and avoid the stress at the end of the everning.

How about:

Which MLB team has the most wins since 2000?

The New York Yankees have won 1919 games since 2000, which is the most in the MLB. Their record in that timespan was 1919-1377. They've made the Postseason 17 times in the 21 seasons. Since the year 2000, the Yankees have won the World Series 2 times, in 2000 and 2009.

What MLB Team Has The Most Playoff Appearances Since 2000?

The New York Yankees have made the Postseason 17 times since 2000, which is the most in the MLB. During this span they made the playoffs 80% of the time, only missing the Postseason 4 times in 21 seasons.

What MLB Team Has The Most World Series Apperances Since 2000?

The New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox and San Francisco Giants are tied for the most World Series appearances in the MLB since 2000. They each made the World Series 4 times.

Winning a World Series is only a bonus, and, even without winning one in 13 yrs, the Yankees are still the most consistent winning franchise in major league baseball during the 21st century. That's something no other team can brag about!

Uh huh. The Yanks also won the most games of the 1980's.

They had 0 rings to show for it.

And your point is what? That still didn't stop them from having the best record of the 1980's! I guess it depends on whether you value the importance of a 4 out of 7 series more than the importance of a 162 game season.

The Mets had a ring in the 1980's. The Yankees have NOTHING from the 1980's except Tommy Lasorda laughing at them.

What Tommy Lasorda did, bothers you as a Yankee fan? Please...We extend Reggie Jackson's hip to Lasorda. See what he thought of that! LOL

Yeah, the Mets won their second, and to date, last WS in 1986, a mere 35 years ago. They have all of 2 WS titles in nearly 60 years.

LaSorda, the grudge-holding guy whose Dodgers have managed 3 WS titles in the last 50+ years, while the Yankees have 5 in the last 25 years? That guy? As if any Yankees fan should or would care what he says or thinks.

Anyone want to hazard a guess why no one considers the 2001 Seattle Mariners the greatest team of the century ?
