Cashman wouldn't hire someone independent  like Joe Maddon. They're not Yes-men.

Anything can change, I'm hoping that they change their minds.  He's a terrible manager.

Boone is a nice guy, but not a very good manager ... surprised the Yankees won't be moving on.

Cashman is Billy Beane, and Boone is Art Howe, if Billy took the Red Sox job with the bigger budget. ROFL

Boone may not be a great, or even good manager, but I'm betting he ain't the core problem with the Yankees direction......

Let's see how this post season plays out, and affects the offseason. If the Red Sox win another title, let's see if Hal actually has a sack between his legs.

I'm holding out hope that they still may make a change. We haven't got a definite answer yet. Maybe they are waiting because their target for manager is still playing. Just a thought.

They just said that the hitting coach won't be back so that's a plus.

Boone should tell the Yankees to pound salt the way they are stringing him along. Seems to me he does everything the organization tells him to do. Don't care if they don't resign him but the organization should treat him with respect.

I'm thinking the delay might have somthing to do with the construction of his staff. Some coaches may be gone and may need to get assurances that Boone is on board with changes. I expect him back, the terms to a new agreement will tell me how much trust they still have in him. If they lowball him like they did Torre, they might as well just replace him now.

I did post this before learning that 3 coaches are gone. If I were to guess, I'd say dismissing them wasn't Boone's idea now he has to determine if he can live with the changes.

It's possible New that they are talking to him and are still working out the details of a new contract.

It's also possible that they haven't made a decision yet and are stringing him along which would be bad.

It's also possible that they have made a decision to replace him but their guy isn't available yet for some reason.

Anyway none of us no what's really going on in the back room.
