Yanks will be looking for a new HC as Thames will not be brought back.

That's great I also hope they change the philosophical approach of launch angle and homerun are king otherwise it will be more of the same.

Source: Despite the coaching staff moves today, the Yankees are still undecided (as of this moment) on Aaron Boone's fate. Part of the equation may be whether he wants to stick w/ the coaching staff the Yankees are going to dictate to him.

Nevin is one of his best buds so lets see what happens.

This makes no sense. If they were going to not bring back Boone then why bother to fire the 3 coaches when they would all be gone with a new manager. Seems like Boone is coming back with some new coaches.

Cashman is the puppet master.  Boone is fine getting his strings pulled and having the front office and analytics team call the shots.

The problem isn't with the batting coaches. The problem is with the batting philosophy. Everyone knows what the Yankees want to do and knows how to pitch them.

It will be interesting to see who the replacement is. Will it signal at least a modification of the current approach, sure hope so.

To save money, I think Cashman, in addition to GM,  will take on the role of batting coach.  He is qualified since he understands analytics, what else does he need to know?
