Only reason I posted this was I wanted to gauge if Shildt was a decent possibility to replace Boone ?.....he was NL Manager of the Year in 2019.....Like a few others, I'm not pushing the panic button on Boone to be let go, but up  until today, I have heard pretty decent things about him and the way he managed......once again, thoughts?

It's bull-Shildt that the Cards fired him, he's a good manager.

Tha'ts rough to lose your job after the miraculous end of the season the Cardinals had.  But therein lies the problem, they're probably thinking it shouldn't have taken a miracle to win a spot for the wild card spot, in fact they probably were expected to win the division.  I don't watch Cardinals baseball but on paper the Cardinals definitely look like a better team than the Brewers.

Same as the Yankees looked better than the Sox and Rays on paper, unfortunately they don't play the game on paper.

That's my point, they gotta put blame somewhere and they blame the manager for the underperformance.  They didn't lack talent, that's fore sure.

this season was a massive underperformance for the offense. only judge and stanton get passing grades. usually that's on the manager but if he's just implementing an organizational philosphy of launch angle and exit velo, then is it his fault. and then having your ace falter compounds the problem. didn't care for the boone signing but the problem may be deeper than just the manager.

Yanks have plenty of time to see who's available.

They may want someone who's still in the playoffs (bench coach, etc.)

Shildt was fired for philosophical reasons. Meaning, the GM wants to be the manager and have a mouthpiece

Yeah, Shildt doesn't want to be a mouthpiece for Cashman.

More of your speculation. What facts do you have to support that? Never mind, facts aren't in your repertoire.
