Gittens still has options and Wade was out of them. My guess is Gittens didn't have an offer from the far East until recently, and the Yanks let him go to pursue it.

I think he is fixated on Carlos Correa much as he once was Alex Rodriguez. He is leaving the Yankees no other options.

If so, he is really not smart. Correa will want at least what Seager/Lindor got, probably more, with a NTC, and is yet another RH batter with an injury history.
