If Trump was our present Potus, he would step aside to allow his master Putin to invade Ukraine. Instead NATO is cohesive in defending Ukraine. Ukraine is a democracy that NATO would support.

Putin thought the time was ripe to reclaim Ukraine. He was counting on American internal skirmish to take the focus off Ukraine.

With lunar new year and winter Olympics don't expect president Xi to come to his aide presently..as Xi is focus on utilizing Olympics to showcase China as a world leader.

Putin might of overplayed his hand. Biden is resolved not a pushover. He can walk and chew gum at the same time.

After the Trump years it's nice to have a POTUS that stands up to Putin and who reassures our country's NATO allies.

Commie convention convenes at Olympics as Uncle Pootie and Chairman Xi call for an end to NATO "expansion".  Surprised that The Orange Menace didn't make the trip to make it a triumvirate...

I'm sure that he would demand something in return from Putin like an approval for his Moscow casino. After Putin laughs in his goofy face I'm confidant that he would suggest a quid pro quo with the Ukraine.

I was surprised Trump didn't weezle  himself an invite especially after American diplomatic presence abstained.

It had always been Trump's objective to abandon NATO and form an alliance with Russia.

Here's a curious question.  Why are the Winter Olympics held in China when artifical snow is needed to blanket mountains far from being snow capped. Summer venue I can see, Winter? It makes more sense to reward a nation with an infrastructure ideal for a winter venue.

What's it like to throw a Winter Olympics with no snow?

The Beijing Olympics will be the first Winter Games to use almost 100% artificial snow.

And winter athletes say the artificial turf is less safe.

"Artificial snow is icier, therefore faster and more dangerous," Estonian biathlete Johanna Taliharm told the Associated Press in January. "It also hurts more if you fall outside of the course when there is no fluffy snowbank, but a rocky and muddy hard ground."

Team USA cross-country coach Chris Grover said landing in it "can feel like falling on concrete."

Machines make snow at the Genting Snow Park where the freestyle skiing and snowboarding will be held during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Or, you know.....how about we just not have the stupid Olympics in a still-ongoing pandemic? Of course I am bias, as I hate the Olympics in general and would love to see them go the way of the dodo bird...

One thing for sure President Xi would not be happy if Putin upstage his long awaiting event with tanks and missiles rolling into Ukraine. Putin's invasion will have to wait a few weeks.

I find the Summer Olympics boring, but I like watching the Winter Olympics. The 1980 USA vs USSR hockey game is still my favorite sports moment, even though the people I watched that game with and me didn't watch the news that day because the game was on tape delay.
