Some buzz on the internet sees the Angels as a landing spot for Bogaerts by the trade deadline. The Angels are off to a good start and they are using old friend Andrew Velazquez at SS. XB is clearly a better hitter than Velazquez...not so much in the field.

Why woud I give Bogaerts the deal that I don't want to give Judge ?   The man is a very good ballplayer, but he is a much better hitter at Fenway than he is on the road.  I already have a 3rd baseman for the next 5 years in DJ and a second baseman in Torres.

If Xander is not signed by the trade deadline, do not be surprised if he is moved regardless of where Boston is in the standings.

If they were going to sign a big ticket FA SS, the one that made the most sense was Seager, and they passed.

Fact is that the Red Sox don't see XB as a shortstop much longer. The stories I've read say they wanted Story at SS and XB at 2nd and he refused the position change.

Neither of our SS prospects is off to a great start this year, but IKF is good enough to hold the fort. The Yankees should have zero interest in XB.

He's kinda shittin the bed right now
