So many Steve candidates - can't tell who he is.
Don't worry we are still working on a name for you. You always seem to take exception when posters on this Board bring up valid points that are critical. Everyone here is happy the team is doing well but it does not preclude people bringing up some obvious points about the lack of production from some players that have historically bad stats such as Hicks. You want to have a pollyanna mentality go ahead its your right but the fact is Hicks was a problem coming into the season and still is.
You on the other hand are more the I told you type Monday morning QB mentality. You wait for someone like Hicks to have a good game and then throw it at people who have been critical. Fact is Hicks has been consistently bad 3 years running. A few weeks ago Hicks went 1 for 2 in a game with 2 walks and you made a point of rubbing it in to his critics. Earlier he had a couple of games in the leadoff spot where he did OK and again you threw this out there. But the fact is when he reverted back to what he has been the last 3 years batting around .100 for the month of May you disappeared and never said boo.
Point ius there are 2 sides to a discussion whether you agree or not or whether you like it or not. Calling people Steve candidates shows the fact you can't except that. Maybe Pollyaana is a good name for your type.
No one is a problem yet as the team is 29-10. Chill. Relax. Bask in the success a little.
There are no emergencies right now. Players have had worse times coming back from injuries than Hicks is having right now - and many have gotten through it. Worry about what to do about him when the trade deadline is on the horizon, see how he's fared by then. When you're winning 75% of your games with Hicks in the lineup, the sky is not falling. Ditto for Gallo, give him some time, nothing is on fire. They have until August 2nd to make deals if they need to. Right now I feel like posters who only focus on Hicks and Gallo when the team is 29-10 are being Steves.
And I'm not alone. Michael Kay has scorched the haters like Steve, and with good reason. Some fans just don't deserve the Yankees. Try rooting for the Reds or Pirates if you want to have company in your misery.
