Hicks has had more than enough time to prove himself.  He has become a liability.  Move him to the bottom of the order.  If he still doesn't step up, find a reason to put him on the IL, and move on.

They batted him 9th a few games and he still didn't produce. Time to cut bait.

I wanted to disown Hicks a number of times...but a look at batting stats shows a lot of big names living below the Mendoza line. They include a guy many wanted, Matt Chapman; a big free agent signing, Marcus Semien and a kid many projected to be a fuiture star, Spencer Torkelson. Hicks is bad and I wish the Yankees were not obligated by that contract, but he ain't the only big name off to a terrible start.

I am not a fan of Mr. Cashman but I understand why he is being patient.

Oh I'm aware, Pat there are a lot of players doing poorly. The difference is they're having an off year so far but have career numbers. Hicks career numbers have been terrible except for one year. Theirs are an anamoly his is a trend. I understand why Cashman is being patient also, maybe for different reasons I think he doesn't want to admit he made a mistake with that contract. JMO.

Spot on. Hicks has been bad to mediocre his whole career, others having an off year-so far. Cashman's gigantic ego forbids he ever admit he fouled up. Just won't admit it, and try to fix it.

+1. Its amazing how many people keep thinking maybe Hicks is off to a slow start and will come around. The slow start began 4 years ago and has not turned around.

that 2018 season was the best thing that ever happened to Hicks, but the worst thing that ever happened to the Yankees.

Hicks looks like the kid whose father is coaching the team so his kid can play center. Nothing is working for him right now.
