The guy with Kaye is clueless. He said Florial is in AA bad while Florial is in AAA hitting .266.

Don't be a Steve.

Kay is within his right to defend Hicks...but he should get his facts right. Florial is not "struggling" at Scranton. He has an an obp of 355. Andujar is hitting over 300. And the most obvious replacement for Gallo is Marwin Gonzalez.

I believe Hicks got a $70 mill contract for 7 years. He has not earned one penny of it. Why can´t the Yanks DFA? Cano was let go by the Mets why not Hicks?  I switch channels when he comes to the plate. He is a lousy Switch hitter.

Kay can say what he want sbut there is no defending Hicks. He has been in decline for years. Problem is no one in the organization will admit it and they keep thinking somehow Hicks will turn into a player he never was. He is a lifetime .232 hitter and has not hit that mark since 2019. People forget that last year he was almost as bad before he got hurt. This team will make the playoffs but go nowhere if both Hicks and Gallo are on this team come October. At least one has to go.

During the Yankees’ 9-6 loss to the Baltimore Orioles, Hicks went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. The 32-year-old is currently in a brutal 2-for-37 slump offensively. He struck out with the bases loaded in the sixth inning on Thursday and has two extra-base hits all season.

Hicks has killed the Yankees in scoring chances this year, going 3-for-23 with runners in scoring position.

“I thought today and [Wednesday], there was a little bit of pressing,’’ Aaron Boone told reporters on Thursday. “It’s wanting it bad and feeling it. We have to get him going.

I don't understand the "we'll go nowhere in the playoffs" comment
How does anyone know that? If we get in, a Judge or Stanton or Brian Doyle could get hot and carry us along with some good pitching. Seems a little early to be making playoff predictions regardless of how bad Gallo a d Hicks are.

Something I can't understand, every time Boone puts Gonzalez in the lineup he produces ??? Why the hell doesn't he leave him in the lineup a few games ??

Gallo and Hicks are killing us right now, leave them sit a few games, it might clear their heads ??????? We're just lucky the rest of the team is playing hot and the teams we have been playing aren't the good ones... I think these next two series with WS/Tampa will tell us something about this team going forward...

The last 2 /3 years have shown that even when Stanton and Judge are hitting well in the post season good pitching will shut this team down. The more  options we have the better. The pitching is a notch or 2 up from what it is during the season. The thing that is really depressing is the fact that the futility both Hicks and Gallo are showing is not even coming against the better teams in the league.
