If one opposes abortion, the answer is simple: Don't have one.  But that is not good enough for big government con artists, they want the state to jam their beliefs onto everyone else.

Yes, because murdering babies is a good belief that the liberals want to hold dear.

yeah, murdering babies in classrooms is far superior

Ripping babies from mother's arms and locking them in cages is also superior.  And all this leads to torturing babies due to no fault of their own.  Compassionate conservatism is far from campassionate.

It's entirely the fault of the parents.  If a kid is trafficking fentanyl or a lookout for the coyotes should they be put in a cage?

Babies in cages sporting diapers are coyotes?  Punishing babies for the misdeeds of parents is far from compassionate

What's your solution?  Process them and hand them off in the interior to charities.  That is one reason why border communities that are more than 80% latino are voting Republican for the first time.

What happened to "a kid is trafficking fentanyl or a lookout for the coyotes".

Were you lying again, or just being disingenuous?

It is happening now.  The largest killer in the US is fenanyl crossing the southern border with the human trafficking.  We are making coyotes rich.  We know coyotes are using children to traffic families and get them across because we ended zero tolerance and don't want the optics of separating children from adults.  We know children are crossing the border multiple times pretending to be part of multiple families.  We also know women are being abused and often have to work off their passage after arriving in the US.  We must condone this because it was all predictable.

Ok...so you were lying when you talked about babies in cages and coyotes. Nothing new there.

I was talking about children.  Lauren was saying babies which I had not seen babies in cages but suppose there would be separations if their parents were being arraigned since that is what we do with parents in criminal custody.  It just sounded hyperbolic to me.  Children are being exploited by coyotes and our border policies, right?

"Interesting" that you, someone who supposedly places a great deal of importance on personal responsibility, portrays those who die from addiction as victims. Typical blatant hypocrisy of LL.

So you are cool with fenanyl being the number one killer in the US?  It's not guns, it's not car accidents, it's not cancer, it's not heart disease.  The mortality rate is high enough that you can argue it is less dangerous recreational drug and more deadly poison.

LOL...you've outdone yourself. What happened to "personal responsibility"?

I suppose you agree with J.D. Vance that Dems are intentionally allowing fentanyl into the country to kill off Trump voters. The real question then is...why are so many addicts Trump voters?

"...why are so many addicts Trump voters?"

Let us count the ways that the evangelically-fueled, to-the-right-of-reason, retrograde-rushing GOP is moving us toward a full-blown theocracy...

Do you see it emerging from the fog now, peeps?

Seriously?  Do you believe in objective reality and the scientific method or do you believe that actual reality is the reality to be actualized by revolutionary action?  If you believe the latter that is a religion or a cult.

Onward Pseudo-Christian soldiers!  The U.S. is beginning to look more and more like the fictional nation of Gilead.  Women's bodies under the control of the state, religious indoctrination re-injected into the schools, and members of the LGBTQ community treated like "gender traitors".  How long are we gonna let this go on?

BTW, season 5 of "The Handmaid's Tale" will begin on September 14...

From Jill Filipovic and CNN:

"With midterm elections approaching in November, Democrats have surprisingly good reasons to feel optimistic. Republicans have reminded voters of how bad things can get with them in charge, as a spate of unpopular laws go into effect in conservative states that criminalize abortion and put the lives of pregnant women at risk, not to mention attempt to legally force legions of Americans into unwanted parenthood. Since recent estimates from the Brookings Institution show that raising a child has never been more expensive, that reality hits particularly hard for voters who must now consider whether forced parenthood comports with their vision for America..."

We cannot let the theocrats in the Republican Party have their way with women's bodies and the future security and direction of our democracy.
