lets hope no incidents occur on this doubleheader....Things can get heated on a hot and humid afternoon.

The managers should split them up... let Donaldson have one game off... Sparky can have the other game off!

You know better than that... there's alot more that goes on that we don't see...

I'm not sure what Cole has to do with this but, apparently many pitchers were using SS. The no Sticky stuff rule didn't come out until last season, I think. I've also been vocal about my concern for Cole as not being the pitcher he was before SS. And truth be told... Cole is not one of my favorites... I can't stand his pitch whinney voice.

I believe you're the one who brought Cole's name up...just responding to that. But I immediately brought up the Donaldson/Cole potential problem when the Yanks acquired him.

Donaldson does have tendency to taunt other players. I happened to be at the game in Minnesota last year when Donaldson took Chapman deep in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game. I was sitting behind the 3B dugout, and Donaldson appeared to be taunting Chapman as he rounded 3rd.

IMO LaRussa enflamed the situtation yesterday. Anderson called the comments made by Donaldson "disrespectful". LaRussa is the person who characterized them as "racist".   Again, just my opinion but Tony should have done what he did for 20 years as his clubhouse filled with illegal drugs and banned substances and just shut up.

The Yankees don't need the distraction. They are winning. This only helps the losers IMO.

Seriously, there are thoughts of a MLB suspension. No punches was exchanged. Are players that much of a pansy? From what I hear, it's common among players to exchange ragged banters.

Gardner was Infamous for giving Cole the"business" in regards to the sticky stuff. Talk about being thin skin....whatever happens locker room banter? Does a fight breaks out when someone jokingly said your girlfriend is ugly...

As reported.....
Chicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks isn't buying New York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson's reasoning for calling Tim Anderson "Jackie" on Saturday.

"Usually you have inside jokes with people you get along with, not people who don't get along at all," Hendriks said Sunday, according to Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times. "So that statement right there was complete ****."

Hendriks was a teammate of Donaldson with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2015 and is on the record as not being a fan of the former American League MVP."My feelings towards the individual in question are pretty well documented," Hendriks added. "The fact we don't get along and the fact that I've now spoken to I think it's four separate clubhouses that he's been into and as a whole none of them have gotten along."

Hendriks said last July that although he respects Donaldson's on-field ability, he didn't enjoy him as a teammate.

"I am not a Donaldson fan. On the field, one of the greatest. You want him on the team behind you," Hendriks said. "But I saw behind the curtain too much, and I'm not a fan."

The White Sox and Yankees conclude their weekend series with a doubleheader on Sunday.

The Yankees knew what they were getting when they got Donaldson. In fact, they got what they wanted though now they might want to reconsider:

“He's got a chip on his shoulder that he brings every day; he’s an uber-competitor who is not afraid, and maybe that’s something we were lacking,” Cashman told Meredith Marakovits on YES. “He’s definitely got an edge to him, and maybe that type of personality will be good for us. He’s been wreaking havoc, but the big thing for him is health – when he’s healthy, he can do a lot more than what we’ve seen in the past. We appreciate what Gio has done, but he’s not Josh Donaldson.”

As I stated above, I don't think either Anderson or Donaldson is someone to be emulated.

I'm not getting it. Anderson referred to himself as Jackie in an article. So why was he in an uproar when Donaldson called him that? And I'm  not a Donaldson fan....

Obviously Donaldson is using it sarcastically...and Anderson knows it.

Why does Anderson refer to himself as Jackie?  There is no way or shape to make the comparison. Anderson just opens himself to criticism and ridicule.
