I'm not getting it. Anderson referred to himself as Jackie in an article. So why was he in an uproar when Donaldson called him that? And I'm not a Donaldson fan....

Obviously Donaldson is using it sarcastically...and Anderson knows it.
Why does Anderson refer to himself as Jackie? There is no way or shape to make the comparison. Anderson just opens himself to criticism and ridicule.

You'll get no argument from me...but I don't think he refers to himself as "Jackie". Just apparently sees some comparison to Robinson which no one else, including myself, sees. If anything, Donaldson was ridiculing Anderson for daring to compare himself to Robinson.

As I said..... ChiSox take the Yanks to task in Yankee Stadium. Donaldson was a pot stirrer well before Cashman traded for him, and now they will have to take the good with the bad.

Anderson has some serious anger issues. If Donaldson said was true how they joked about the comment together and now suddenly they don't than that's on Anderson. Flipping off fans in Cleveland...I doubt Jackie did that to the fans.

Gio could have been a contributor on the great Yankee teams Jeter led to championships. Keep the exit velocity, keep the launch angle, get the hit when it counts.

Seriously, there are thoughts of a MLB suspension. No punches was exchanged. Are players that much of a pansy? From what I hear, it's common among players to exchange ragged banters.
Gardner was Infamous for giving Cole the"business" in regards to the sticky stuff. Talk about being thin skin....whatever happens locker room banter? Does a fight breaks out when someone jokingly said your girlfriend is ugly...
Suspension for sarcasm? Cone says he's not in Anderson's shoes, neither am I. But in my opinion, I don't have to be in anyone's shoes to hear Donaldson's explanation and see sarcasm and not a racist comment or ethnic slur. Jackie Robinson is a Hall of Fame player, well respected with a good reputation. If Anderson was Italian and Donaldson called him Joe D. that's sarcasm, he if he called him Fredo, that's a different story.
