I suppose this is an attempt at humor... of course, you're so angry!

The bright side is yes they lost but they never quit. It was disappointing when Judgies ball just fell short of the game tieing home run. This team has comback to win many games this year! It was also disappointing on Sunday when they failed to hold a 5 run lead. This team is so good they lull you into thinking they're never going to lose a game.

So hopefully they win today and win the series.

Donaldson is hard to like.... missing Gio!!

not sure anyone really "likes" donaldson. never understood the trade. comparing the two, offensively it's a wash. defensively, at 3rd base, the defense has improved going from -5 defensive runs saved to +16. obviously not all attributable to josh but significant. think he also brings a "chip on the shoulder" attitude that was missing. is he worth $15 mil more. no. i liked gio but josh is here.

Bump, what you call "a chip on the shoulder attitude" , I call being a jerk.

wrong phrase. for sure a jerk. i called him a hot head the other day. not sure what the right word is, but he does bring a bit of an edge, maybe a less polite or less "corporate" attitude to the team. sorta like clemens who i didn't want and really disliked. on the other hand, while our other pitchers would be hesitant, i knew clemens would "protect" our hitters if it came down to it.

I get what you are saying I guess I just don't like the guy. I think the negatives out weigh the positive. Even when he hit the big HR the other day, you get the big bat flip and all the histrionics that go with it. To me, it just looked out of place for someone in pinstripes.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this but I cant believe the Yanks are taking Judge to arbitration. Cant be a good move with contract negotiations pending. Even if they were to win the arbitration, they come off looking really bad IMO.

Yep, his arbitration hearing is Friday. In my opinion, the Yankees should have used that time to make Judge another contract offer similar to the offer they gave him before the season started, but with more money per season. Also in my opinion, they shouldn't offer him more money and years than Arenado is getting.

Good point and very true about Clemens protecting the Yankee hitters. Clemens also still had his good stuff, where Donaldson as of yet hasn't hit like he did in his prime. Don't remember Clemens trash taking either. Not that he's a bad player but I still would rather see Donaldson in a trade package for an upgrade in either LF or CF, which would also allow DJ to be the everyday 3Bman.

For real? That's  unbelievable,  talk about a disrespect after a stellar season.

Clemens was a 'roid-fueled headhunter who I really hated seeing in pinstripes. I've said before that I would've loved to have seen Piazza "return" that bat barrel to him...jagged end first.

Judge is right but there is no reason for the Yankees to quibble over the difference between the offers. Four million is a lot of money to us, but not very much to a team that could reap tens of millions with a successful post season.  I will understand if the Yankees let Judge walk away at the end of the year but given the circumstances today this is dumb.

judge is certainly worth his asking price of $21 mil. while i'm guessing judge is certain to win, the team's offer of $17 mil feels like nickel & diming. it really sends the "it's a business" message loud & clear that perhaps will influence his off-season negotiations with the team. he's made it clear that he wants to remain a yankee and play CF (which makes him even more valuable) but wants to be paid like the elite player he is.
