hard to knock Cashman with the year this team is having, don't ya all think?
New, as you know, I have not been the biggest Cashman fan for his body of work over the past 5 years or so, but I will give him credit this year, whether it was desperation with players like Trevino and Carpenter or good analytics, he has made a lot of good moves. Certainly improved the defense and the pitching is pretty darn good. Even with all the good moves he has made, he still has some work to do. I think he will need to suppliment the pitching staff as innings continue to climb for some guys who haven't pitched much over the last couple seasons. Whether he does that by trade or using some internal candidates will be interesting to follow. I would also like to see him move on from Gallo and get an outfielder with more consisent quality abs. So far, it's been a fun season and I'll tip my cap to Cash.
