Tyler Wade is someone I do not miss. He was never going to be anything special. The guy couldn't hit his butt with both hands.

To be fair, I think his SUCK stat is off the charts.

I'd love to have Wade back. I think IKF has done a good job at SS - as good as what I think I'd get from Wade. But unlike IKF, Wade can play elite defense in the outfield and that would be great given the current roster.

Who won a Gold Glove - Wade or Kiner-Falefa? Get back to me.

IKF won a Gold Glove at 3rd... A position that can be filled by Donaldson, LeMahieu, Gonzalez or Carpenter. I liked Wade because he can play a good  defensive center field. None of those other guys can. If the Yankees had three outfielders who could cover center I'd be fine with IKF. He is a competent place holder until one of the "elite" prospects is ready to take over.

That wasn't the question. Who won a Gold Glove - Wade or Kiner-Falefa? Oh, second question: who has catching experience?

Joey Gallo and Kiner-Falefa each won a Gold Glove in 2021. Neither won the award for playing shortstop. IKF is playing out of postion and doing a nice job. He is not Omar Vizquel. I like Wade because he can play center field. The hot weather is coming and the  280 pound center fielder who carries this team is going to feel the heat.

This is not a knock on IKF -  the Yankees don't need more depth at 3rd. Yes, it is good to have an emergency catcher with professional experience. If Cashman used IKF as the second catcher and opened up the roster spot occupied by Higgy, I'd prefer IKF to Wade.

I prefer Wade over Gallo on this roster

Both lefty but Wade is more likely to make contact and has speed ... it's a wash defensively

In 143 plate appearances he is hitting .218 with 8 RBIs. He had a chance to play more often with the Angels but has not produced. At best he is a bench player. His stats are not that good both this year and in the past.

Yet someone here said they would take Wade over IFK. Not even close imo.

Plus he shot his mouth off begging Judge to play for the Angels next year--on a team Wade probably won't be on much longer.

IKF is annoying, but I want no part of Tyler Wade either.

I could be wrong but...Judging by 2 other attention starved bait threads. This thread now looks like a "can Bobby come out and play" thread.
