Poor baserunning in 10th was dissapointing but otherwise I thought they played pretty well. I think this is one of those tip your cap games. Seattle pitching was nasty.

couldn't even go right to sleep after that nighmarish loss. the baserunning was embarassingly bad but just as bad was the anemic hitting. 3 hits in 13 innings and none in the last 5 innings. even if they didn't run themselves out of those innings, there's no guarantees they would have gotten those runs in but giving free outs to the mariner's bullpen is a fool's game. as i said in the goat thread, really everyone was to blame excepting maybe judge. too many swing for the fences ABs. miggy was brought up to provide a spark and he k'ed 3 times w a base running blunder. only bright spot was the pitching other than loaisiga. where oh where has he gone. no time to rest, at least they get to quickly turn the page w another game this afternoon.

Early golf game today so I went to bed after top of 10th. Didn't realize it went 13. Sounds like we had some chances but shot ourselves in the foot. Glad I didn't stay up for the whole game. Sounds like pen did a nice job overall.

certainly tip your hat. those guys were nasty. yankee pitchers almost as good. great defense on both sides. aggressiveness on the bases burned us though might give trevino a pass. ridiculous play by the pitcher and he was screened from the ball. miggy caught by a screamer. turn the page.

stopped watching after the 10th. The baserunning mistakes can't happen 3 straight innings. I can live with a mistake once, but not 3 times. Boone's gotta reign in on these mistakes. Donaldson made a stupid one that fortunately didn't cost the team, but we have to balance intelligence with aggressiveness on the base paths. If IKF can't hit consistently, then he better play great defense and not be a liability on the base paths. The last two have been a struggle.

IKF hit a bullet up the middle that would've driven in the go ahead run in the 12th. I'm sure even Bash can't explain how the ball ended up in his glove.

Really not so much how bad he has been, but last night or should I say early this morning, up 0-2, why put one right down the middle of the plate ?? Lately, I seen too many of our BP pitchers get ahead 0-2, 1-2 and have a waste pitch, or at least one to give the hitter a tougher pitch to hit, yet they seem to give way too good of a pitch, right down the middle of the plate, on a pitchers count ??

The situational hitting on this team continues to be an issue and last night was compounded by poor base running. Torres has to put the ball in play in the 13th with the bases loaded. Andujar is another one who seems to get lost in a situation and tries to pull everything while swinging so hard. The extra innings rule that has been in play since COVID puts us at a disadvantage. We can't seem the get the guy on 2nd base over to 3rd a lot of the times. Just bad baseball.

Same old Andujar. Tries to hit the ball a mile and pull it instead of going with the pitch. Everyone knew the slider was coming except him.
Thats actually not Andujars game at all ???? He's known for using the entire field and going with the pitch as indicated by his spray chart

3 hits in 13 innings. Pathetic. Miggy is not the answer. He looks overmatched, but then again so do all the Yankee hitters.
He also accounted for 33% of the Yankees hits
