The 2022 Yankees started the season like they were a combination of the 1927, 1961 and 1998 Yankees all rolled into one, and it took nearly half the season for the fans to finally see that the "emperor had no clothes". In the end, it was the same Yankee team we've all grown to be frustrated with, an offense consisting of Aaron Judge (in a definite MVP season), Giancarlo Stanton (when he's not hobbling), and no one else who could take charge when the team needed them most. On the pitching side we have a bonafide ace in Gerrit Cole, but the problem is, you can't win when your ace is putting up goose eggs, while your offense is doing the same thing. So once again, Yankee fans, I'll continue to root hard, but I expect the results to be no different in 2022 than it's been for the last 7 yrs. Another very good Yankee team, which may (if their backslide ever settles down) win 100 games yet again for Aaron Boone (he may go down in the record books as the manager with the most 100 win regular seasons never to win a WS trophy). The bad news is, now the rest of the league knows the truth about these Yankees, and there is no more fear of the pinstripes in any of them. Will it be another "one and done" season, no. This Yankee team is too good to lose in the first round, but they definitely don't have the horsepower to beat the Astros, and even if they do, there is NO WAY ON EARTH they could beat either the Dodgers, or the team I believe will win it all this year (and believe me, it ticks me off to admit that fact), the cross-town rival NY Mets (I think Buck Showalter has a thing or two to prove to the Yankees). So let's enjoy the rest of this 2022 ride, and be proud that at least we're seeing yet another Yankee team that will give us another 100 regular season wins, and possibly see a new Yankee record for most homeruns by a Yankee in the regular season...and that's not too shabby! GO YANKEES!

Imagine being in a foxhole with these guys? They would be waving the white flag the minute they saw one enemy soldier. I'm amazed (but not really) how these cockroaches quit on a team with close to a 10 game division lead.Doesn't take a brain surgeon to know this team has played poorly for an extended period of time but geeeeez these quitters are unbelievable.
