Miguel "Giancarlo Scranton" Andujar goes back to where he might be able to hit again after posting an anemic .531 OPS in the bigs.   Good luck finding a trade partner for this guy, his value is probably at an all-time low now.

Severino is back!

Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves:

• Optioned INF/OF Miguel Andújar to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

• Returned from rehab and reinstated RHP Luis Severino (#40) from the 60-day injured list.

Cabrera outplayed Andujar and Hicks in his short time with the Yankees.

Why are you gloating that a player didnt do well?  It would be nice if Andujar found his old form again, but you're letting a forum argument make you root against a Yankee.

I also really believe he's done.   I haven't seen him hit even one ball since his shoulder injury with the kind of pop and authority that he had in 2018.   He had incredible gap power back then, and now it's gone.   He's a shadow of his former self.

He has no spot on the ML roster.   Unless there is a rash of injuries, he'll have no spot again next year.   His trade value is basically zero.  It is what it is, I am just being honest about him.   The people here who think he's some sort of an answer aren't watching the same games I am, or else they're putting on rose colored glasses when they watch "Giancarlo Scranton"'s at bats.

Good enough. Just recognize that someone could make all the same points about Giancarlo Stanton. His play this year is awful.

So Stanton hurt his shoulder seriously in 2018 and had surgery?   And has had just about 0 power since then?

How has Stanton been in the post season for the Yankees?   How was he when he started 2022 healthy?

It's one thing to go on the IL, come back and look lost for a bit and then get back on track.   It's quite another to have lost your power at the major league level for 4 years.

became a big fan of the "doubles machine" during the 2018 season. his bat was electric. what has happened since is heartbreaking. no doubt he's lost his power on the mlb level and he's probably done w the yankees. i wish him the best and hope he reinvents himself and finds some success somewhere. whatever his situation, i find your continued "gloating" about it unnecessary and distasteful.

I wish Cashman had not clung to Andujar and Frazier so long.

Ditto Gleyber. He'll be $10M in arb and the Yanks could use that money to coax Judge back or get a real starting catcher.

Stanton was mired in a slump for a month before he went on the IL. I hope he improves but he has been doing a Crhis Carter imitation for four months.
