Yes, he is that idiotic:
DeSantis proposes policy permanently banning Covid-19 vaccine and mask requirements
Permanent is a often misused word in politics. It's often used to gain support of followers but nothing in politics is ever permanent. The next legislature or executive authority can change things as they see fit. People made a big deal that the Trump tax cuts for corporations were "permanent" while the cuts for individuals sunset after 10 years but honestly, they have already been changed by the Democrats. Regardless, this policy permanently banning COVID-19 vaccine and mask requirements is just dumb. The science, for masks at least, is clear that thety do help when used for short periods of time in areas of high transmission. We are also seeing the negative effects of long-term masking in our population right now. As far as the vaccines are concerned, I would imagine that eventually we will have a vaccine that is FDA approved. Once that happens, I hope Florida would reconsider this policy. Personally, I think it's unconstitutional to require people to take a medicine that is still experimental, but I also understand the reasoning for some of the mandates. In the news yesterday, the current bivalent vaccines have triggered a "danger" response from the FDA regarding increased clot and stroke risk, but that shouldn't scare people away. A discussion with your doctor along with personal research is the best way to determine if the shot is right for you.

Freedom, to someone like Ron DeStupidBigot, is the ability to undermine the freedoms of others.

Gov. DeDumbDumb's radical stances on the issues are sure to enthrall Trump's cretinous base, but will they play well with the so-called "independents" in the electorate?

AP African American studies course does not belong in Florida schools, says DeSantis administration
www.cbsnews.com/news/ap-african-american...
This article has no statement or comment from DeSantis, only a Department of Education statement that says they reviewed the content and find some of it to be inaccurate or misleading. It is the BOE's job to review all approved content. I'm sure that the College Board received a detailed outline of issues the Florida Department of Education had with the course content and can choose to either dispute the claims or change the curriculum. State Departments of Education review course content all the time in all 50 states and often programs are put on hold for review. Until the CB comes out with a statement that ties this to a race issue, this is a big nothing burger.

The poorly educated Ron DeStupidBigot went from Don't Say Gay to Don't Say Black. This God-mocking, American-hating bigot is determined to groom another generation of bigots in this former slave state. The AP African-American Studies course is currently being taught at 60 schools nationwide. The College Board plans to make it widely accessible by the 2024-2025 school year.
