The AP African-American Studies course is currently being taught at 60 schools nationwide. The College Board plans to make it widely accessible by the 2024-2025 school year.

Your point?  Oh yeah, you have none.  There is no indication whatsoever that DeSantis had any input in this decision nor is there any indication that Florida's issues with the curriculum aren't purely technicalities that will be fixed.

For your information, the Florida university system offers a major in African-American Studies as well as African Studies.  Both curricula are approved by the Florida Department of Education.  I guess that ruins your theoretical point.

Are you really that ignorant?  TRY AGAIN. If you want me to treat you like an idiot, no problem.

You answered my 100% true post with a claim that I'm "ignorant".  I guess you have no defense to the truth.

NW's 100% true post: There is no indication whatsoever that DeSantis had any input in this decision.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) administration has sent a letter to the College Board rejecting the new Advanced Placement African American Studies course.

Florida university system offers a major in African-American Studies as well as African Studies.

Now for the rest of the story: Although it is being challenged by groups, including the American Civil Liberties Union, for being unconstitutionally vague, some college instructors have been modifying their curricula on race-related topics to avoid running afoul of the legislation. Some have even canceled courses altogether rather than risk landing in legal hot water.

The article stated that the letter was sent to the CB by the Department of Education.  There is no evidence whatsoever that the Department of Education had direct input from the governor.

Another example of sophistry from NW.  The racist hands of Ron DeStupidBigot are all over this decision as documented by the letter from his own administration. If the poorly educated DeStupidBigot didn't agree with his own administration's letter, he has had plenty of time to disavow the letter.

Do you honestly think that DeSantis participates in every curriculum review submitted to the Department of Education?  Do you think the head of the DoE consults DeSantis with every letter requesting changes or explanations of curriculum submitted to them?

DeStupidBigot set the tone for this racist act to occur and if the head of the DoE wanted to keep his job, he had to do the governor's bidding.

Exhibit A:

Judge says DeSantis was wrong, but declines to restore Andrew Warren to office

U.S. District Judge Robert L. Hinkle ruled Friday that DeSantis violated the state constitution when he suspended the Hillsborough state attorney last year, but stopped short of returning Warren to office.

Wow, your train of logic is so far gone without a glimmer of truth that it's just sad.

What right-wing extremists do: PROJECT.

Let's see how this whole discussion has gone:

First, you try to claim that DeSantis is responsible for the rejection of this cirriculum from the CB.

Then, I correctly claim that the CB cirriculum was rejected by the DoE, not DeSantis himself.  You then claim it's still coming from him.

Then, I correctly claim that neither the CB nor the Florida DOE has not disclosed the reasons for rejecting the cirriculum.  You ignored that correct response.

I then correctly claim that the head of the DoE is responsible for hundreds or more cirriculum requests per year and that he/she has no reason to consult the governor about any of them.

I also correctly claim that public Florida colleges have approved degree programs in African Studies and African-American Studies.  You posted a news article that was irrelevant because you couldn't dispute my truth.

You then claim to know how the head of the Florida DoE felt when sending this rejection letter to the CB.

So, you went from claiming DeSantis is a racist because he rejected a class cirriculum from the College Board and then when proven wrong several times, your claim now is that an administration official must have rejected this cirriculum because of how he must have felt about what might happen if he didn't reject it.  Keep the tinfoil hat my friend.

Only a Ron-duped fool or a hardcore cackler would believe or pretend to believe that Lil' Napoleon's minions would do something like this without his approval.

Kirk defends Fl. Gov. Ron DeSantis banning AP African American Studies

www.mediamatters.org/charlie-kirk/charli...

CHARLIE KIRK (HOST): I am enthusiastically behind Ron DeSantis saying that Black-centered education has no place in Florida schools, obviously.

But European History is fine with these two bigots (DeSantis/Kirk).

On hearing the news of the AP course rejection, NY Representative Ritchie Torres hit the bigot on the head with a tweet...“SHOCKING: Ron DeSantis has BANNED the teaching of AP African American Studies in Florida. Florida has gone from Don’t Say Gay to Don’t Say Black.”
