Does anyone actually have apple tv? I don't even know what all this streaming stuff is. Sorry I'm old... 61.
I'm very disappointed that Yes won't be carrying tonight's game, especially with the possibility of Judge hitting #61 breaking the long standing (61 year) record.
Shame on The Yanks!!!

Good for you...

I have an ipad.. I'll try that but we shouldn't have to go through all this rigamarole to watch a game. It's very frustrating, especially for us older people.

And shame on that useless Manfred for not stepping in. This next week is a historic week for baseball and depending on when he breaks the record, half the fan base will miss it live. Tongue Out

I have it...courtesy my wife. She keeps up on this stuff...I just call her if things "don't work right". Seriously tech-challenged. If not for her I'd be wrapping tin foil* around the rabbit ears of a 19" B&W.

The Yankees have tried to buy the game back but thus far to no avail.  AppleTV paid to have the exclusive to these games and is providing them (this year) for free.  I know it's a pain but it was MLB, not the Yankees, that made this deal.  I downloaded the app to my TV and have been able to watch past AppleTV games without much issue.

The challenge is that you need an Apple ID to view the game. The ID is readily available, Apple uses it for all sorts of online purchases, but when you create it it requires a valid email and a credit card (paypal, debit) payment method to be assigned.  I've seen sites on the web that show how to get around that, but it is a multi-step process.

I read that you can get a free trial and just cancel after the end of the day....but I have not done it. I never like putting a credit card number in an app and hoping for the best. But allegedly, you can do that.

Me too Bob...I may have to call my 9yr old grandson to help me. I found the apple app on the ipad. We'll see what happens come game time.
