Not sure what Pirates plan to do with Andujar. Obviously not 3B. I've always said he'd end up at 1B for someone...maybe some competition for Chavis. He's shown he can handle LF, maybe DH??

I say let him get with a team that will play him every day, or at least 150 games, I think he'll hit better than the average baseball player in the major leagues... I think they said in one of the last few games, MLB players are only averaging around .240 or so... There's teams that can use Andujar's bat...

The 2018 AL rookie of the year runner-up, claimed from the New York Yankees on Sunday, answered by going 1 for 3 with a walk, a single in a four-run seventh inning and a sacrifice fly in the eighth. Pirates manager Derek Shelton liked that Andujar was aggressive, calling his Pirates debut a “really good first impression.” “I think this is a kid who has proven that he can hit,” Shelton said, “and we want to give him the opportunity to get some at-bats.”

Well Joey Gallo had a hot start with the Dodgers and that hasn't gone so well. But I wouldn't blame any hardcore Andujar fans if they wanted to leave the Yankee base and root instead for the Pirates. In fact I'd wish them luck and hope they enjoy their new home on a Pirates message board.

If Giancarlo Stanton did not have a guaranteed contract he'd be doing a Kei Igawa in Moosic and chasing Mike Hessman for the career minor league home run record.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Nothing new…have seen this before. Endlessly beating a topic beyond death to desperately score some sort of imaginary “victory” on a baseball message board.
I'm sure we're going to lose some fans if/when Judge walks, so I'd understand if we lost at least one special fan now over Miggy. Becoming a Pirates fan could be a fun new adventure, and a way to ease the pain of his failures as a Yankee. Educational too as you'd know how it would feel to root for a small market team. Although I would not count on the Miggy era in Pittsburgh lasting too long.
