Munson was a great all around catcher and if not for that horrific accident would probably be a hall of famer. If I had a vote he would be in.
Mattingly should have one 2 MVPs, Clemens won the Cy Young and shouldn't have been MVP.
2 non-Yankees who I think deserve HoF are Dale Murphy and Dave Parker.

Keith Hernandez (not in the HoF): .296/.384/.436, MVP, 2x World Series, batting title, 5x All-Star, 2x Silver Slugger, 11x Gold Glove (most for a 1B.)

Scott Rolen (HoF): .281/.364/.490, 1x World Series, 7x All-Star, 1x Silver Slugger, 8x Gold Glove.

can certainly question rolen getting in. again think a lot of it has to do w timing. w most of the steroid guys (who have the stats to get in) not getting in, a guy like rolen probably picks up extra votes.

as good as keith was, not sure he belongs in either. where keith falls a bit short is on the power numbers but other guys have made it because of their gloves and he has a .296 BA.

another guy on that same level would be steve garvey. former mvp, mvp runner up, 10x AS, 4 GGs. .294 BA.

problem is none of these guys are on the level of guys like mickey, aaron, mays, whitey, yogi, joe d, jeter, mariano etc. so by putting them are you diluting it making as was said, "the hall of the very good".
