The Yankees’ Top 10 Prospects: No. 1 Anthony Volpe (msn.com) This is a good article and pretty much sums up why I have such a good feeling about Volpe. The link at the end of the story has writeups on other prospects. It's very encouraging to read that Wells is really making good progress with his defense. Not hard to imagine both Volpe and Wells starting and playing big roles on the 2024 Yankees.

I'm very high on this kid, and am glad the Yankees have not traded him. I hope they stick to that.

great read. volpe could be a winner. the stuff about attitude and IQ is important. while i understand we're in a "win now" situation i'm all about the kids (and pitching). would be great to get another core 4/5 that we could surround judge with.

As the article suggests, Volpe has been projected to end up at 2B. Assuming Peraza is not dealt and nails down the SS spot, an IF of Gleyber/Peraza/Volpe in '24 looks pretty good to me.

I read an article that said Volpe has a chanced to be a 30/30 player.

I like the idea of a Torres, Peraza, Volpe, Rizzo, infield. But the Yankees still have DJ. So, I think there's a chance Torres is going to get traded either for Reynolds or for pitching prospects that the Pirates want in a trade for Reynolds.

Max, I'm could be wrong but I don't think Torres makes sense for the Pirates. He only has one more year of arbitration left and he is already making more than Reynolds. I'm not sure the Pirates would be willing to sign him longer term considering what his market value might be. I would expect that they would want prospects that are under team control for a longer duration considering there spending history.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yanks have a classic power hitting 3B in Gleyber. He'd be 27 during the '24 season. If Peraza & Volpe live up to their projections that's a great looking IF for many years.
Yeah because DJ and Rizzo are the picture of health and still have 5-6 prime years in front of them
