Behind every sport, there is some sort of drama that lies behind it. With Football, you have Peyton Manning missing a whole season, Tim Tebow doing his weekly "Tebowing" and then you have the Jets with their all bark and no bite mode. With basketball, there was the NBA lockout. And with hockey...well, it's the same thing every night. Pucks are hit into goals and punches fly. But if there was one sport that has drama that is unimaginable, it would have to be baseball. I believe that baseball has so much drama that it should be made into its own T.V. show. Something always happens in the offseason that makes you gasp and have the mentality that you "didn't see it coming." Here is some drama worthy moments for some of the baseball teams in the league. The final 2 weeks of the season are upon us and it looks as if the American League East race is going to wind down to 2 of the 3 teams: the New York Yankees, the Boston Red Sox & the Tampa Bay Rays. The AL race had been a tough one since the beginning of the season with the Red Sox & Yankees switching places in 1st place the whole time. Right now it's in the Yankees possession by 4 games, the largest lead the Yankees have had this season. The Red Sox are currently in the Wild Card, but they should be wary of the position they are in. Just in late August they were sitting high in the Wild Card. It looked as if both the Yankees & the Red Sox had a guarenteed spot in the play-offs. Then came the Tampa Bay Rays, who have the Red Sox on edge. In late August the Tampa Bay Rays were 8 games ... |
